JBS has named Gilberto Tomazoni as president of the company’s global poultry operations beginning March 7.  He will report directly to Wesley Batista, JBS president.  Tomazoni’s primary responsibility will be the strategic positioning of JBS in the global poultry trade, the company said in a press release.

Tomazoni previously worked for 27 years at Satida including four years as chief executive officer, where he led the company’s internationalization and brand development in Brazil and beyond.  He served for the past three years as vice president of Bunge Alimentos, managing the food and ingredients businesses as well as serving as executive director of Central and South America.  He has a mechanical engineering degree with post graduate studies in management development.

“The arrival of Tomazoni to JBS is another step in the professionalization of our company and the strengthening of our executive team.  He has a broad knowledge of the poultry business and gives an important contribution to JBS to have a global perspective of this segment,” Wesley Batista said.
