Following its celebration this week of opening its 900th restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings said the chain expects to open about 100 new locations in 2013. As the chain moves toward having 1,000 restaurants, it noted the openings will include an updated restaurant design. Buffalo Wild Wings’ 900 locations are in 49 states in the United States, as well as in Canada. The chain is expected to roll out its new pricing concept for wings, which includes selling the wings by weight rather than by piece. Analysts believe this shift will help the chain better manage its wing costs.
