Sanderson Farms announced yesterday that its board of directors has named Tim Rigney as controller and corporate secretary of the company, effective November 1. He will succeed James A. Grimes, who has announced his retirement from Sanderson Farms, effective October 31.
With this appointment, Rigney, 48, will perform the functions of principal accounting officer for Sanderson Farms. He has served as the company’s corporate accounting manager since 2004 and has been employed by Sanderson Farms in various financial capacities since 1990. He is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi and is a certified public accountant.
