Case Foods, Inc., announced this week the appointments of Michael Popowycz to vice chairman and chief financial officer and Kevin L. Phillips to president and chief operating officer, effective immediately. Phillips succeeds David Van Hoose, who is retiring from the company.
Popowycz joined Case Foods in 1987 and has served as corporate controller, corporate treasurer, and most recently, chief financial officer, a position he has held since 1992. Prior to joining Case Foods, he spent seven years with Perdue Farms in various accounting and tax positions. Phillips, who has been promoted from vice president of sales and marketing, joined Case Foods in 1999 and has served as sales manager, food service sales manager, and director of marketing. Before joining Case Foods, Phillips spent three years with Gold Kist in poultry processing and sales management positions.
