USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is extending the comment period for submission of comments on a proposed rule that would expand the kind of product labels that can be generically approved. The deadline for comments was due to expire this Friday, February 3, 2012, but FSIS says it is extending the deadline for comments until March 3, 2012.
The National Chicken Council will be filing comments on this proposed rule.
