Popeyes has joined the National Chicken Council as an allied member. Patrick Pearce, quality assurance poultry manager, will serve as the official representative to NCC.  Popeyes was founded in 1972 by Al Copeland in New Orleans and is now the world’s second largest quick-service chicken chain based on the number of units.  The company’s first franchise was opened in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Popeyes has 2,000 restaurants in the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands, and 25 foreign countries.  NCC extends a warm welcome to its newest member.  For more information about the chicken chain, visit www.popeyes.com.
