USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have announced a public meeting in Washington, D.C., to discuss federal efforts to enhance food safety strategies through the improved use of and characterization of foodborne illness source attribution. The meeting will also be used to review a draft Strategic Plan developed by the Interagency Food Safety Analytics Collaboration, which was formed to increase collaboration on analytic projects.

The meeting will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on January 31 at USDA in Washington, D.C.  Advance registration, available here, closes on January 25.  The deadline to register to make public comments during the meeting is January 9.
