A recent Harris Poll showed 61 percent of U.S. adults say they are likely to spend less in restaurants. These sentiments have not changed much over the past three years, according to Harris, which tracks Americans’ spending and saving habits.  The recent Harris poll surveyed 2,499 adults online between November 7 through November 14.  The latest responses are similar to those from a similar survey conducted in May.

As the economy continues to fluctuate, Americans will continue to feel pessimistic about employment prospects, poll officials said.  “Americans will likely continue to hold back on spending until they feel more comfortable.”
