USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service, in coordination with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, has renewed the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee for Trade (APAC) and six Agricultural Technical Advisory Committees for Trade (ATAC).

The four ATACs renewed cover animals and animal products, fruits and vegetables, processed foods, and sweeteners and sweetener products.  Two other ATACs have been reorganized and now cover (1) grains, feed, oilseeds and planting seeds, and (2) tobacco, cotton and peanuts.  Both the APAC and the ATACs advise USDA and USTR concerning agricultural trade policy and are intended to ensure that representative elements of the private sector have an opportunity to express their views to the U.S. government.  Bill Roenigk, NCC’s senior vice president, serves on the Animal and Animal Products ATAC.
