Dr. Phillip W. Stahlman has been selected as the incoming President-Elect for the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST), the organization announced this week. Dr. Stahlman’s term as President-Elect will begin in October.  He then will serve as President of the organization for the 2012-2013 term.

Dr. Stahlman is professor of Weed Science at the Kansas State University Agricultural Research Center-Hays where he has been in charge of weed management research in dry land cropping systems since 1976.  CAST is an association of scientists whose mission is to bring science-based information on agriculture to policymakers and the public.
